Formats

Each video is available online in three formats and two sizes (720x576 and 360x288). The Windows AVI (DIVX) format is recommended. If the appropriate codec is not installed, Windows users should try the Windows AVI (MS MPEG4 V3) version (you can download this codec, and other codecs, at this Microsoft site).

Recommended Players

Windows users should already have Windows Media Player installed. Linux and Mac OS X users may want to try the video player mplayer, which should play all video formats. Note that in general if you try to play the large version videos over a low bandwidth connection (for example, off a network drive or CD-ROM), then there may be problems with audio synchronization.

Short Papers

Short papers describing the videos are also available through the ACM Digital Library's online proceedings, provided you or your instutition has a subscription.

Credits

These videos were selected from the submissions by the following video program committee: This video review webpage was produced by Patrick Min in the Geometry, Imaging, and Virtual Environments group of the Computer Science Department of Utrecht University, the Netherlands. The video software used was mencoder (part of the mplayer package).

When rescuing this web page from the past site, which was broken, to this site http://www.computational-geometry.org the webmaster had to remove some of the formats originally provided, to save storage.
